It's official; the Wii is dead to me. No matter how much I want to play Metroid Prime 3, I can't get over how tacked on the Wii's control schemes can be. Case in point, Spongebob Squarepants: Creature From The Krusty Krab. I received this game as a gift, and out of courtesy to the giver, I felt obligated to play it. What followed was perhaps the worst gaming experience I have ever had.

With the introduction of Playstation "Home", it has become obvious that Sony is through as a video game innovator. Even before "Home", Sony proved that it was unable to come up with an original idea since the PS2 era. Eye Toy was probably Sony's swan song in innovative ideas. With the introduction of PS3, and all the known issues surrounding its launch and functionality, all Sony has proved is that it is good at copying its comtemporaries' ideas.

As most of the All Games community knows by now, the Arena Interactive Lounge will be shutting its doors for good in a couple of weeks. While I praise Arena Ron for his attempt to create a viable business out of this new wave arcade, the simple fact is that he was DOA. History is nothing if not consistent. In my inaugural post, I want to talk about how video games have been dumbed down for the masses.
