The DS has been a real life saver for my family the last couple of weeks. My daughter has moderate autism and sometimes can get really cranky while waiting. We had to rush to the bed of a dying relative two weeks ago, and I thought the waiting at the hospital would drive my daughter insane. Luckily, both she and I had our DS's in tow. I recently had a small bonus from work and decided last night to replace our ancient PS2. Although our old one still works, it is very selctive in what it will play. Some of the newer games are not recognized at all as are some of our old favorites. So our family went to a local store and spent about 30 minutes in the video games section looking around.
