I took a trip to Vegas with my buddy last week to take in a couple of shows I've been wanting to see and while we were out there we visited a place that was about 10 blocks east of the Tropicana hotel called the Pinball Hall of Fame. I highly recommend stopping by there the next time you are out in Vegas. It's a retro games paradise in a way that LIVE Arcade will NEVER be able to match.

Mitchell is such an opportunist. How much did they pay him to be on this show? Lil' Poison also shows little depth. I'd be interested in seeing his report card. It's really painful watching reporters, who know little about games, talk about them. Reminds me of my mother when she tries to sound cool.

In a hands-on preview of ROCK BAND on IGN's site, 4 more songs were revealed as well as an in depth preview of the game and new screen shots. It's coming along nicely and I can really say that my beloved Guitar Hero franchise is starting to pale in comparison. [Not that I'll ever abandon it or anything.]

The final setlist for Guitar Hero Encore:Rocks the 80s leaked out on Friday. It looks great altogether, however I was slightly disappointed that the final songs announced weren't better (except for Electric Eye which I love). I was secretly hoping for Prince's Let's Go Crazy or Van Halen's Panama. Oh, well. Rocks the 80's ships for the PS2 only on July 24th. No word yet about it being available as DLC for the 360...
The final setlist was revealed by

Well, another long journey completed. Many of you know that with as much Guitar Hero mojo I have, I had not yet beaten the game on Expert difficulty. I've been stuck on Hangar 18 since the PS2 version of the game came out last year. Hangar 18 is the next to last song of the career and it has dogged me just as Cowboys From Hell had dogged me from the first GH game. As long as it had taken me to finally beat Cowboys From Hell (I finally got through it a w

Activision continues its Guitar Hero marketing onslaught this week with the announcement of GUITAR HERO III coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall. New features include wireless guitars, online multiplayer, boss battles, redesigned fret button layout, guitar faceplates, more master tracks, and more (ahem) downloadable content. Here's an excerpt from the press release along with 11 revealed tracks.
Turning it up to 11, Guitar Hero fans will channel

Over the past several months I’ve noticed I’ve had more and more of my friends asking me what are some good games to buy for their Xbox 360 that they just purchased (or will be soon.) Strangers at Best Buy and Circuit City have asked me this question frequently while I’m browsing in the game section, as well. People are excited about their new system, especially if they are picking up an E

Guitar Hero fandom was 'rocked' today with the announcement of the pricing for the 360 Guitar Hero II downloadable content. Those expecting a reasonable cost for "old" songs from the original PS2 Guitar Hero were floored to find they had to pay over $6 for only three of these songs. If the pricing model continues in this manner, GH players would have to pay nearly $100 to play all the GHI songs on their 360. I can only imagine the behind-the-scenes discussion between Microsoft,

I've gotten several inquiries the past couple of days about how long and what it took for me to obtain my Guitar Hero skills. I'll share my story and hopefully it may give you a light at the end of the tunnel if you are stru

Well I was at Circuit City when it opened to pick up GHII and get the free 1600 MS point card with it. I've been playing it throughout the day in career mode on hard difficulty. First off, I love the leaderboards. I figured they would rank your score per song both globally and against your friends, but what I didn't know is that they also keep a running "caree

I demoed the new X-plorer and GHII for the 360 at Best Buy yesterday. Let me first say I've been playing GH intensely since it was first released back in 2005 and I consider myself an average expert-level player so I definately would notice differences between the two guitars as far as how they effected my gameplay. Also, this guitar was not new out-of-the-box by any means. The ugly stickers on it looked worn and there was no strap. (I played it sitting down) So the wear it's e

Many may know if you've listen to AGI that I'm a big Guitar Hero fan. But with as much recognition I've gotten on my plastic ax skills, I've always had a black spot on my record. A not-so-hidden shame that has kept me humbled. Until last night...
I've own

Since there is no such thing a “One Console to Rule Them All,” I'll admit that deep down I’d like to own all three consoles, but I am NOT an impulse buyer. There has to be compelling reasons for me to drop hundreds of dollars to buy a console when my free time to play on my Xbox 360 is already limited. So I’ve come up with a not-so-scientific way to determine when I will drive down
