E3 has come and gone and personally I think the smaller E3 is awesome for sites like allgames.com We're not competing with 35000 people to play games, talk to developers, and get around. Sure there is a downside that is traveling from location to location in order to experience everything but...It's Santa Monica, my backyard, and it's gorgeous out! The truth is, we were able to have a good time, play the games, and meet a ton of people we normally wouldn't even find let alone run into a few… Continue

So it turns out the Justin.tv servers crashed on E3 day 1 and about 5 hours of content was lost. They said they'll be taking steps to avoid that happening in the future, and I'm also saving… Continue

So I'm home after an interesting day 1 of E3. The show has changed so radically it's almost unrecognizable from before. Everything is spread out and nobody is really sure if this is the way to go in the future. Traffic sucks, the multiple hotels and such are a joke, but the calm and laid back energy is awesome. No longer are we fighting with kids for game time, we're not stepping over people spread out on the floor with their 20 bags of schwag eating their lunch, we're not begging a PR person fo… Continue
Speaking to Geoff Keighley on the latest edition of Gametrailers’ Bonus
Round, Lempel said that there was little to differentiate Xbox Live and
PSN offerings to consumers bar the price. However, Lempel indicated
that as the service grows, PSN may not always be available for free.
“Microsoft had a year jump on us for the launch and essentially we’re
offering a lot of the same stuff. I don’t think there’s a big
difference in exactly what… Continue
I am not really sure about the whole firmware update process. I mean, you're gonna teak the firmware of your hardware and that's great. In theory we feel like we're getting a bonus. Gamers love bonuses. When the firmware is updated on the 360, it's a moment before you go and use the 360. It's almost a non occurance unless something cool is in it. But the PS3 lets me out at the CMB, and doesn't really let me know the firmware is there. I go to log online and it then tells me to get the up… Continue
Well it's clear that the Digg community has the ability to completely bury a valid post without any reason cited. The interview we did with the developers was the only one given this week yet 64 diggs of that story couldnt keep it from being buried while a post from some unknown site promoting a Halo 3 beta write up is on the 2nd page. I have decided to hang up my digging spork and will no longer support or visit the site. It seems that the inmates rule the asylum. Thanks for the diggs everyone.… Continue
We just got back from a screening of "The King Of Kong" a documentary Produced by Ed Cunningham and Directed by Seth Gordon. The film is brilliant and should be seen by any gamer who think they might have what it takes to set a world record on a video game. With so much recent history with Mr. Awesome Roy Shildt on our show, we had first hand knowledge of all the players. Twin Galaxies founder Walter Day, former referee Robert Mruczek, and the hot sauce king and former Don… Continue
