Christmas 2006: My stepson really wanted an XBOX 360. The only reason that he wanted one was for one game. The RTS Lord of the Rings game. We had everything else and I was not into getting a 360. We had 2 PS2s, a Gamecube, a Gameboy SP, and a XBOX. We had just bought a new PC too. He really wanted one and I told him he had to get rid of all of his other games to get one. Fast forward to the release of the Playstation 2. I thought the day before the launch that it would be a great idea to try to get one. Yes I was at launch day of the PS2.
