Metal Gear Solid 4 coming to the Xbox 360?

"MGS4 for the 360 will also come with exclusive content and gameplay that will not be in the PS3 version of the game. Some of this content is VR missions, as well as "Snake Tales" or "Snake in the Valley" (depending on where you live), which will let you go on objective based missions, some of which are very lengthy. These are the first two bonuses to emerge so far, but be ready to expect even more."

Is the PS3 getting the short end of the stick? I personally don't care. I don't own a PS3. I was going to purchase one once some good titles started rolling out. MGS4 was one of those titles that I was really looking forward to. Now that it's no longer exclusive I don't see myself purchasing the PS3 until the price drops significantly and they get some good software.

At first i figure it was not true because Kojima said that it's not going to happen. Something about a camo-mode that can't be emulated on the 360. I saw the post on Destructiod. I didn't really care too much about it because I own all consoles so I was going to play it regardless but I knew that if this was confirmed than 360 fanboys are going to have a field day with this one.

Now why I think it's true is because D'toid got a ceased and desist... i figure that they would just have a comment on Kojima's blog that just confirms that it's not true but a cease and desist seems like it is true... they just don't want to announce it now. Reminds me of the time that Kotaku broke the Playstation Home story and then got into beef with Sony for a bit.

Now i love being apart of the gaming community but i do hate the console bashing that goes on in the community (all communities... not just AGN). Of course it's foolish to believe that one console can rule them all but i know that if (or when) this is confirmed that 360 fanboys are going to have a field day and every website, forum and podcast that i read/listen/watch they are going to be doing some serious bashing. If you thought the DMC4 petition was stupid imagine what PS3 fanboys are going to do now.

Im sure that Konami has been working on the 360 version since the start. The way these things work is like how it worked with Assassins Creed. It was always in production for 360 its just they made a deal with sony to announce the 360 version later.

Yeah there was a cease and desist earlier today.

It only makes perfect sense for Konami to release it as a multi-platform title. It's such a big budget game that it needs to make a lot of money in order to break even or even make a profit. There just aren't enough PS3 owners to make a profit.

Now that's even more of a reason for me to get a 360. I would really like to wait until there is a price drop this holiday season (it's possible) on the XB. Although, I would give up a price drop now to just see them drop the price a little closer to when MGS4 comes out just to stick it to SONY!

RIP PS3, your too next gen for this gen in so many ways.

Cool, I was thinking I was going to have to miss out on MGS until they get it out for the 360 after the ps3's one came out. But now I'm good to go.

I was just starting to give Sony some PS3 love and now they lose one of the biggest fanboy cards they had. I've said it before and I'll say it again, game companies are businesses and they want to sell as many "unit" per game as possible. It's insane to think that 10million 360's wouldn't be a pool that game publishers want to swim in.
