The Gamestop bargain bin.
So I went to gamestop the other day to check out some old, cheap PS2 games. I picked up Ratchet and Clank: Up your arsenal and Soul Calibur III. Both were about $12.
R&C is an awesome game and was well worth the money. Its a fun, hilarious, and innovative platformer(for the time anyway). All the gadgets and weapons are a lot of fun and the story is really entertaining. I love this game. Unlike SC3...
Soul calibur III is quite possibly the worst fighting game I have ever played in my entire life. The AI is so fucking cheap its not even funny. In the story mode, which has preset difficulty that cant be changed, once you get to 8th fight it becomes impossible. They knock you down and you have no way to get up. I tried rolling away from them, i tried jumping up, rolling towards them, it ALL fails. They just hit you over and over again while you're on the ground. Its not even a challenge. Its just cheap and frustrating. For the first time in a long time I wanted to throw the controller across the room. I remember Soul calibur II being difficult as well, but not so difficult that it was near impossible and I dont remember the AI just hitting my character over and over again while i'm on the ground unable to get up. The game is fun when the AI isn't being cheap, but the best part of Soul calibur is unlocking all the cool weapons and characters which is just not possible in this game because the AI is psychotic.
Fun fact about SCIII: In the character selection area when you put the cursor(or selection square, whatever) over a character they will kind of jump towards the screen for a close up of the character model. With the girl characters this action is apparently so forceful that their boobs jiggle when this happens. Its pretty funny.

- love cheap games. I get many games very cheap off ebay. All 360 games. Splinter cell-LOTR-Prey-Perfect Dark $20 and $12 for The Outfit.
