Saint's Row 2, The Start.
So Saint's Row 2 is out. You may have played it already, maybe not. I want it badly now. I was at my friend, Hicks', place the other night and watched him play for a while. He was well into the game, having already eliminated the Ronin and was working on The Brotherhood. I watched as he finished off the last few missions of The Brotherhood. Those missions I thought were well put together, especially the few final missions. The thing I liked was that just as you thought it was over, Maero would somehow survive. I thought it was very appropriate give that he is a big tough guy, he shouldn't be easy to take out.
Hicks also played some of the side missions. The helicopter attack/defend missions were especially humorous while watching how the bystanders reacted to the explosions.
After he finished off The Brotherhood missions, Hicks handed the controller to me and let me play. I threw in my memory card, logged in and started my own game. The character creations was fun and for the most part I managed to create a character similar to the one I had in the first game. My only disappointment is the voice choices. Of the three, none were the voice from the first game. Granted he only speaks twice in the first, but I think it would have been nice to have the same voice as a choice. I ended up choosing the British accent.
The first mission, getting out of the prison, was set up well to get you reacquainted with the controls. I was surprised at how much of the city map was still the same as the first Saint's Row. I was for the most part able to drive around and have a fairly good idea of where I was going. I completed the intro missions, those involved pretty much restarting the 3rd Street Saints. Also I did each of the first missions for each of the gangs and a couple of the side missions. The Fuzz TV show was hilarious. It's basically COPS. The difference here is the police officer they usually ride with is unavailable, but they saw your picture on TV and you are a "perfect match." My favorite Chop Shop missions are back too.
Now I have to get the game. I wanna play it so much now that I threw in Saint's Row to finish off side missions. I hope to get the game soon.
