To me it just looks like a lot of window dressing on something that should be more simple and straightforward (showing off achivements and making communities). It's really more like The Sims Online or There than Second Life. No dynamic, user-generated content. Everything is premade, prerendered, and has to be purchased except for the pictures and videos you can put up on the walls. Still this could catch on as a sort MySpace for gamers, and maybe that's all most people need.
WoW all I can say its wow. but anyways this is really cool but I still need my rumble and sony to be humble and lower that enormous price tag (cause I feel like I been stabbed the back after being a loyal SONY customer) :)
Scot, if fleshed out properly, this looks very similar to what you say would be the perfect game...One "game" that you log into and then can "play" whatever you want to. This is only good news for 360 owners, as competition drives innovation. Xbox Live might be free this time next year with added functionality. Lets not underestimate Sony's ability to screw this up, though.
I like the bowling but for me its useless. What they need to do is work on games and getting there games to work better online. Because right now nobody was really asking for this. While it is nice its got no use
This is definitely amazing but the $600 price tag will still make me not buy a ps3 plus this is just a rip off second life on steroids.

Looks good. Some nice features.
I still would not buy a console for this though.
Lets get to the dirty and show me some games to actually get involved in!!!
